The largest share of our work. The house comes back to its frame; the plan is rethought room by room; bearing walls move, steel goes in, wiring, plumbing, and HVAC are replaced end to end — and additions go up where the plan needs room. Families usually move out; what they move back into is a different house inside the one they bought.

MEET BOB

Bob Cwenar

Bob has been building in and around New Hope since 1995 — he runs every job himself, with a steady crew of longtime tradespeople. Multi-story custom homes, whole-house rebuilds, and plenty of single-room jobs in between.
His strength is the complicated middle of a project — multi-room design, demolition, and rebuild work with a lot of moving parts, where plumbing, electrical, and gas all have to land in the right order. As general contractor, he manages all of it on the ground.
That time in the field adds up to a comfortable network across the architecture and design community, and reliable sources for niche and hard-to-find materials. Most new clients arrive by referral, often from a house he worked on years earlier.
